Rockdale runs from the Princes Highway and the station down through low-lying streets toward Botany Bay, with Kogarah to the south and Banksia to the north. New towers have gone up around the station; the streets either side of the highway are still older brick homes and interwar flats. From our Earlwood base it is an easy drive south-east. Part of our St George service area.
Call 1300 111 007. Open 7am to 6pm, seven days.
The land east of the highway falls away toward the bay, and in heavy rain that shows.
Yards pool, downpipes overflow, garages and sub-floors take water, and cracked or silted stormwater lines cannot carry what comes off the roof. Sewers in the same streets can surcharge, which is when the gully trap starts bubbling. We clear stormwater lines and pits with a high-pressure jet blaster, CCTV them to find the failed section, replace or reline it, and add or resize grated drains where the fall is poor. Jet blasting →
The towers around the station bring new-build plumbing problems. Flexi hoses under vanities and sinks fail and flood the unit below. Tempering and pressure limiting valves stick. A blocked stack backs up into the lowest apartments first. We trace leaks between units to their source, isolate them and put in writing whether the fault sits inside a lot or on common property, so everyone knows who is paying before anyone is billed. Strata plumbing →
Away from the towers, Rockdale's older brick homes and walk-up flats have the plumbing of their age: earthenware sewers with tree roots in the joints, galvanised pipe narrowed by rust, and hot water systems that owe nobody anything. We clear and reline drains, repipe in copper, and replace hot water with gas, electric or heat pump options. Hot water systems →
Call before the next storm, not during it. If your yard floods every time it rains, we can camera the line, find the failed section and quote a permanent fix while the weather is dry. Blocked drains →
Mostly flats, mostly rented. At the 2021 Census, about 70 per cent of Rockdale's homes were flats and about 24 per cent were separate houses, and 47 per cent of households rented. In a block, one blocked stack or drain line often serves several units, so the first job is finding which length is shared and who has to approve the work.
Old brick near the station, newer blocks around it. Building began with the railway in 1884. Federation houses still stand in streets such as Ferrier Street and Cameron Street, and Bayside Council's housing strategy describes large clusters of older walk-up apartments around the centre. Homes and blocks of those eras often still have earthenware or cast iron drains, with galvanised water pipe in the oldest. We camera the line first and reline a failed length from inside wherever the footage allows.
Flat, low and wet. The 2017 flood study for the Spring Street Drain, Muddy Creek and Scarborough Ponds catchments describes land that is relatively flat, particularly east of the Illawarra railway, and Bayside Council notes sandy ground with groundwater under two metres in many areas. Sydney Water rebuilt the Muddy Creek channel banks between Bestic Street and West Botany Street between 2022 and 2024. After heavy rain, check the pit and the stormwater line before you blame the sewer. We camera both.
Tree rules. Bayside Council needs a permit for most tree work, and it accepts root pruning that limits damage to structures but not removal of structural roots. We show you where roots are entering the pipe before anyone talks about the tree.
Burst pipe, sewer backing up into the shower, no hot water, a gas smell: ring 1300 111 007, after hours too. After-hours, weekend and emergency call-outs carry a call-out fee, always quoted upfront before we dispatch a plumber.
Upfront fixed price before any work starts. You only pay for the work we do, with no call-out fee in business hours and interest-free Payright options on larger jobs.
With so many apartments and rentals, much of our Rockdale work comes through agencies. We coordinate access with tenants and building managers, prioritise anything affecting more than one unit, and send a photo report with every invoice.
The shops, restaurants and service businesses along the Princes Highway need working toilets, hot water and clear drains to trade. We handle blocked drains, gas fitting and compliance certificates, hot water and leaking fixtures, scheduling around trading hours where we can.

Very prompt response to my initial web contact. The plumber arrived in the arranged time and the service was extremely professional and friendly. Cleaned up after the work finished.
Pink Plumbing provided great service from start to finish. Very professional and friendly, communicated clearly, and completed the job to a high standard. Really impressed.
Nick has helped me with full renovations as well as maintenance. Nothing has ever been a problem. The workmanship, response times and attitude have always been second to none.

No call-out fee in business hours. After-hours, weekend and emergency call-outs carry a call-out fee, always quoted upfront before we dispatch a plumber. Nothing about that changes because you are in one of the unit blocks near the station: the figure is agreed on the phone, before a plumber is sent.
A licensed plumber, or an apprentice working under one. We hold NSW plumbing licence 311287C and full insurance, and those details go on the paperwork. Whether it is a Sans Souci house near the Georges River or a Carlton semi behind the shops, the same licensing applies to every job we take on.

Start with your strata manager or agent, who can approve the work, and then call us. We camera the common line, find which length has failed and put the cause in writing. We isolate only what needs isolating, so neighbours keep their water where we can.
It can be, but check the pits and the stormwater line first, because much of Rockdale is flat and low. We camera the stormwater line and the sewer line separately, so you know which one is choked, cracked or full of roots. If the problem is the council's channel or street drain rather than your pipes, we tell you that and who to call.
Often, yes. We camera the line, show you where roots are getting in, and reline that length from inside the pipe so the joint is sealed. Bayside Council needs a permit for most tree work and does not accept removal of structural roots, so sealing the pipe is usually the better first step. Check with council before any cutting.
