Most Sydney plumbers price a job one of two ways: an hourly rate plus materials, or a fixed price for the whole job. Pink Plumbing quotes a fixed price upfront. Our guide prices start from $198 inc GST for blocked drains, $218 inc GST for hot water and $242 inc GST for general plumbing, all confirmed on site.
Every price here is a guide, confirmed on site before any work starts. What we quote is what you pay. No surprise bills.

How pricing works
Sydney plumbers charge one of two ways: by the hour plus materials, or a fixed price per job. Hourly pricing means the meter runs while the plumber works out what is wrong. A fixed price puts that risk on the plumber, not you. We publish our own starting prices below.
“It depends” is true and useless. It depends on four things, usually visible in one photo:
Know those four and a plumber can quote a fixed number.
Guide prices
These are the starting prices published in our Instant Quote tool, shown here inc GST. Each figure is where that job type starts, not what every job costs, because the fault, the access and the parts move the final number. You get the fixed price for your job before work begins.

Cost guides: Blocked drains · Hot water · Pipe relining · Taps and toilets · Gas fitting · Leak detection · Emergency plumber
The everyday call-out. The price moves with the fault, the access, and the parts it needs.
A blockage cleared at an accessible point sits at the bottom. Tree roots, a collapsed clay line or a drain needing CCTV camera inspection and jet blasting costs more.
A repair to a serviceable unit starts here. A replacement is quoted fixed once we confirm gas, electric or heat pump, the size and the location.
Driven by how many fittings leak and whether the tapware still has parts available.
Depends on where the pipe is. Behind a wall or under a slab costs more than an accessible cavity.
Small gas work starts low. An appliance install, leak trace or compliance certificate is priced on the work involved.
A specialist service, not a repair. Acoustic, thermal and pressure testing, priced on the property and how many lines need testing.
Call-out fee
No call-out fee in business hours. After-hours, weekend and emergency call-outs carry a call-out fee, always quoted upfront before we dispatch a plumber.
In business hours you pay for the work, not for the truck arriving. Outside them, you hear the figure first.
A call-out fee is the charge for getting a plumber to your door, separate from the work itself. In business hours there is none, so the job gets priced without you paying for the visit.
After hours
After-hours and emergency work is quoted upfront before we dispatch a plumber, so you approve a number before anyone leaves. We do not publish an after-hours rate, because it depends on the job, the hour and where you are. You get the figure on the phone, and nothing happens until you say yes.
In a genuine emergency we make safe first, isolating the water or gas. Where it is safe to wait, the full repair is done in business hours, keeping the total down.
One visit
If a plumber is already there for a blocked drain and you also have a leaking toilet, do both on the one visit. The saving applies to each extra job, not only the second.
A dripping tap, a running toilet, a mixer needing a cartridge: list them in the quote tool so the plumber arrives with the parts.
Exact price
Send a photo. Our Instant Quote tool takes about a minute: tell us the job, your suburb, and upload a photo of the tap, the unit, the wet patch or the drain. Sixty seconds is how long it takes you, and a photo removes most of the guesswork.
About a minute is all it takes you.
Photograph the whole area, not just the fault, and catch the data plate on a hot water unit.
A photo removes most of the guesswork. A phone call works too.

What you get
Invoices are itemised, so labour and materials are listed separately. Find a second problem and you get a price and a decision, not a surprise line.
You pay on completion, at the price quoted. Larger jobs, such as a hot water system replacement or pipe relining, can be paid interest-free through Payright, so the cost is spread rather than paid in one hit. Ask when you get your quote.
Questions
