Blocked drains in the Eastern Suburbs
Most Eastern Suburbs blockages are tree roots in an old earthenware sewer, a shared unit-block line carrying grease and wipes from six or eight kitchens, or a silted stormwater line.
We do not guess. A CCTV camera goes down first, so we see the blockage and show you the footage, which in a strata building decides whose line it is. Hot water in the Eastern Suburbs
No hot water is our most common urgent call, and in an apartment it is rarely just your flat.
Shared hot water in unit blocks. Many blocks still run a central plant and ring main, or storage units in a common cupboard. When that fails, nobody has hot water. We repair and replace both.
Repair or replace? A valve, thermostat, element or igniter with life left gets repaired. A leaking tank, or a unit past ten years with another fault, gets an honest recommendation to replace. Near the coast we check casing and fittings first: salt reaches those before the tank.
Gas, electric or heat pump. Older flats are usually electric storage; houses and renovated terraces suit continuous flow gas or a heat pump. We tell you honestly what stock we can get same day.
