Blocked drain work with Pink Plumbing starts from $198 inc GST. Every price here is a guide, confirmed on site before any work starts. What we quote is what you pay. No surprise bills. What you actually pay depends on where the blockage sits, how we reach it, and whether the pipe underneath is damaged.

Five things move the price: where the blockage sits, how easy the line is to reach, what caused it, whether the drain needs a camera inspection to find that cause, and the time of day you need someone out. A straightforward clear at an accessible point is the cheapest version of this job.
The expensive version is the same drain cleared four times in two years because nobody looked at why.
More than anything else. A blockage in a kitchen waste, a basin or a shower trap is quick to reach and quick to clear. One out in the main sewer line, under a driveway, or in a line shared with the property next door takes longer and needs more gear.
Not always. If a drain has never blocked before and clears easily, a camera may not be needed at all. If it blocks repeatedly, backs up through more than one fixture, or you are buying the property, the CCTV inspection is the part that tells you the cause. We show you the footage.
It can, and it changes the result more. An electric eel cuts a hole through the blockage and gets flow back. A high-pressure jet blaster scours the pipe wall and flushes the root mass out. We work camera first, then jet blaster, because a clean drain blocks again far less often.
A cheap eel-only clear is often the same job paid for twice.
Roots do not break into a sound pipe. They find a crack or an open joint, so a root blockage is a symptom of a damaged drain, not the problem itself. Clearing it restores flow. It does not repair the pipe, so the line often blocks again next wet season.
Common in older Sydney suburbs on clay sewers, from Inner West terraces to the long pipe runs on bigger Sutherland Shire blocks.
Frequently, yes. Pipe relining rebuilds the damaged section from the inside, with no trench through a courtyard, driveway or garden, so the root path is sealed and the repeat blockages stop. It costs more than a clear on the day and less than clearing the same drain every year.
Relining is quoted after a CCTV inspection, never over the phone. More on what drives that number.
No call-out fee in business hours. After-hours, weekend and emergency call-outs carry a call-out fee, always quoted upfront before we dispatch a plumber. If sewage is backing up into the house, do not sit on it overnight. You will know the figure before anyone is sent, not after the work is finished.

It is quoted as part of the job, not assumed. A first-time blockage that clears easily may not need one. On a repeat blockage, the camera is what stops you paying twice.

For roots and grease, yes. An eel punches a hole through the blockage. A high-pressure jet blaster scours the pipe wall, so more of what caused the problem actually leaves the drain.
In older Sydney suburbs the sewer under the garden is usually earthenware (clay) with a joint every few feet. Tree roots find the joints, waste catches on the roots, and the line blocks again every few months. A camera inspection shows the cause; jet blasting clears it; pipe relining seals the joints so the roots cannot get back in, without digging up the yard.
We aim to attend blocked drains the same day in the Inner West, St George and the Sutherland Shire when you call in the morning, and we tell you the real time when you ring 1300 111 007. A sewer backing up into the house is treated as an emergency, after hours too.
As a rule, the pipes inside your property boundary up to the connection with the sewer main are the owner's responsibility, and the main itself is Sydney Water's. If several neighbours are blocked at the same time or sewage is surfacing in the street, it is often the main: call Sydney Water on 13 20 90. If it is only your property, call us and we camera the line to show you exactly where the problem is.
Usually not. Most root damage is fixed by jet blasting and no-dig pipe relining through the existing access points. We only excavate where a section of pipe has collapsed, and you get a fixed price before any digging starts.
Yes, every night from 6pm to 7am. Call 1300 111 007 and the on-call plumber answers, tells you whether we can get to you tonight, and quotes the after-hours call-out fee before we dispatch. We aim to be on site within 60 minutes for emergencies in the Inner West, St George and the Shire.
