Annandale is built on a slope. Johnston Street runs from Parramatta Road straight down to Rozelle Bay, lined with grand Victorian houses and the famous Witches Houses, and on either side streets of terraces and federation cottages fall away toward Johnstons Creek and Whites Creek.
