Penshurst runs along Forest Road with the station on the Illawarra line and Penshurst Park behind it, sitting between Hurstville and Mortdale. It is a regular stop on our St George run. Part of our St George service area.

Penshurst is interwar and post-war brick, with red-brick walk-up units and newer duplexes concentrated near the station and Forest Road.
Earthenware sewers and roots. The older housing here was connected with earthenware pipe. Decades of street trees later, the joints leak and roots follow the water in. We camera it, jet it clear and reline the broken section so it stops repeating. More on blocked drains.
Risers in the walk-up blocks. The red-brick unit blocks around the station still run a lot of original galvanised riser. Pressure drops on the top floor, water runs discoloured, and pinhole leaks appear in the same wall more than once. We can do one flat or the whole stack, and we say honestly which the building needs.
Hot water at end of life. Storage systems in these homes and units tend to go all at once. We size the replacement for the property rather than the biggest tank that fits, and handle the gas connection and compliance certificate.
Duplex pairs sharing services. Newer Penshurst duplexes often share sewer and water connections in ways the owners are not told about. When something blocks, knowing which pipe belongs to which half saves an argument and a bill. We work that out first.
A good share of Penshurst near the station is tenanted or strata. We coordinate access with tenants, send a photo report with every invoice, and tell the strata manager whether the fault is in the lot or on common property before a repair is approved. See real estate plumbing and strata plumbing.

Very prompt response to my initial web contact. The plumber arrived in the arranged time and the service was extremely professional and friendly. Cleaned up after the work finished.
Pink Plumbing provided great service from start to finish. Very professional and friendly, communicated clearly, and completed the job to a high standard. Really impressed.

Questions
Galvanised steel water pipe rusting from the inside. It narrows the flow and colours the first water of the day. We pressure test, find how much of the original pipe remains and replace it in stages in copper or PEX, worst section first, with a fixed price for each stage.
Usually. In an older Penshurst walk-up it is nearly always the original galvanised riser closing up. We test it, then tell you whether one flat or the whole stack needs re-running.
No call-out fee in business hours. After-hours, weekend and emergency call-outs carry a call-out fee, always quoted upfront before we dispatch a plumber.
It depends where the blockage sits and how the two halves are connected. We camera the line and show you, so the answer is based on the footage rather than a guess.
Yes, it is regular work for us. We attend on a work order, arrange access with the tenant or building manager, fix the problem and send a clear invoice with photos. Where a leak crosses between units, we put in writing whether it sits on lot or common property before anyone is quoted.
Yes. Cutting the roots out clears it for a season; relining the pipe stops them getting back in. We camera the line, jet it clear, show you the footage and reline the damaged length without digging up the yard.
